Technology News: M&S plastic actuator PAMS08

In 2008, M&S responded to the request of many customers for a cost-effective and lighter alternative to stainless steel actuators and launched the PAMS08 plastic actuator. After a hesitant start, a positive response developed and the actuator was widely used. In the meantime, however, the price advantage no longer exists due to the increase in plastic prices. As a result, a trend back to stainless steel drives has developed over the last 5 years, so that demand has now shifted to individual special applications. However, these requirements are no longer sufficient to maintain series production. For this reason, we have decided to discontinue production of the PAMS08 M&S actuator in the 2nd quarter of 2022. The last batch is currently in production. It will no longer be possible to remanufacture it.
